Vincentian Spirituality

Vincentian Spirituality

What is Vincentian Spirituality?

Our members are invited to see the face of Christ in those we serve and to develop our own spiritual growth. We pray together regularly.

The vocation of Society members, who are called Vincentians, is to follow Christ through service to those in need. We bear witness to God's compassionate love. Our members show commitment to service by visiting with each neighbor personally to understand their immediate needs and hope for the future.

No work of charity is foreign to the Society. We strive to alleviate suffering as well as promote dignity, integrity, and self-sufficiency. We serve those in need regardless of creed, ethnic, or social background, health, gender, or affiliation.

Vincentians are sincerely concerned with the spiritual well-being of our neighbors, always observing a profound respect for their conscience, listening and understanding, beyond words and appearances. We serve in hope.

As we encounter those we serve, we are transformed.
